I distinctly remember first time I saw her
I was coming down the stairs as she opened the door
Silent looks at the each others, I smelt her scent in the corridor
I said :"Hello, it's on the first floor,
I'm gonna fetch some tapes and come back as I can..."
I didn't know who she was, I never saw her before
I didn't jump in the water, we should have talked a bit more
I only played those songs and made them dancing
I didn't try my luck then I saw her leaving...
A name give by a friend, was all I learned about her
We drew plans for a meeting but it never worked, she was always busy
I once saw her figure among the crowd on the high street
She smiled, was it for me…? Then she looked away
Don’t you find that funny ?
I didn't cross the street nor hold her hand
I didn't say a word nor give her a sign
Did she know my name ? Did she understand ?
